On August 20, it was learned that in September of this year, a number of new schools will be put into use in the city, and some new campuses will also be launched, further upgrading the city’s educational infrastructure.

Chongqing Vocational College of Agriculture, located at No. 66 Nanguashan Road in Yongchuan District, is the city’s first newly established agricultural higher vocational institution this year. It will officially open in September. The school will initially offer five majors including Modern Agricultural Technology and Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Medicine, with plans to enroll 1,000 students.

Chongqing Vocational College of Security, also newly established this year and located in Yongcheng Town, Qijiang District, covers an area of 324 acres in its first phase. It has already completed 100,000 square meters of building construction and will also be officially put into use in September. The college consists of the Low-altitude Economy School, Information Security School, Artificial Intelligence School, and Sports School, offering five majors: Drone Application Technology, Security Protection Technology, Information Security Technology Application, Artificial Intelligence Technology Application, and Sports Training. It plans to enroll 1,500 students in its first year.

Jinhai School, located in Dazhulin Subdistrict, Yubei District, will also welcome students in September. The school has a total construction area of approximately 75,000 square meters, including six comprehensive and teaching buildings, two outdoor sports fields, two indoor sports grounds, an auditorium, and related auxiliary teaching facilities. It plans to establish 48 primary school classes and 30 junior high school classes.

In Liangjiang New Area, Yuerong Primary School (formerly Yuelai Fourth Primary School) and Xingguang Baixi School will also be put into use. Yuerong Primary School is located in the Yuelai Ecological City area, covering an area of 26,400 square meters. Once operational, it can meet the educational needs of over 2,000 students, providing high-quality educational resources for school-age children in the region. Xingguang Baixi School, located in Dazhulin Subdistrict, covers an area of approximately 74.5 acres. It will be the third branch of the Xingguang Education Group, forming an educational structure of «main campus + 3 branch schools + 1 alliance school + 2 affiliated kindergartens.»

Bailong Primary School in Tongliang District will also be put into use in September, with 48 primary school classes and 12 kindergarten classes, effectively alleviating the enrollment pressure for school-age children in the surrounding areas.

In terms of new campuses, Chongqing Technology and Business University’s Chayuan Campus will be put into use in September. Faculty and students from four colleges and two research centers will relocate to the Chayuan Campus. This means the university will end its history of dispersed operations in Nan’an and Jiangbei, achieving an operational structure with three locations within Nan’an District: the main campus at Wugongli in Nan’an, the Lanhuahu Campus in Nan’an, and the new Chayuan campus.

Chongqing Youth Vocational & Technical College’s new campus in Longzhouwan Subdistrict, Banan District, covers an area of 564 acres and has already passed final acceptance. The campus is equipped with smart teaching facilities, standardized dormitories, and a student activity center. It houses eight secondary colleges and can accommodate 4,500 students.

In Yongchuan District, the new high school comprehensive building project at Xuanhua Middle School has completed its main structural work, and the comprehensive building project at Fenghuanghu Primary School is nearing completion. The Xuanhua Middle School project has a total construction area of 18,000 square meters, including a large underground garage and three modern towers: Building One is a high-standard auditorium, Building Two is a teaching building, and Building Three is an indoor sports ground. Once completed and operational, it will improve teaching conditions, add 2,000 student places, and alleviate the shortage of educational resources in the urban area. The Fenghuanghu Primary School comprehensive building project covers 6,920 square meters and includes 17 functional rooms such as STEM education labs, AI evidence-based classrooms, smart reading rooms, and smart evaluation rooms, as well as student classrooms and teacher offices. Additionally, it features a rooftop smart soccer field, venues for five-a-side soccer and pickleball, and other sports facilities. It will meet the teaching needs of 30 classes with 1,350 students.
