A landslide in Sochi hit a high-pressure gas pipe

Local residents reported the incident on Landyshovaya Street on social networks on June 17.

The published footage shows soil and stones that have descended on the gas pipe, as well as flowing streams of water. Witnesses reported that the earth mass with stones continues to move and local residents fear an emergency.

Currently, in the “Railroader” cooperative, work is being carried out to clean up the debris flows and saw down fallen trees.

The gas company team visited the site and inspected the gas pipe. No threat to the integrity of the gas distribution network was found, the city’s press service reported.
