At least 3,627 families were affected by Tropical Storm Isang, which entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Saturday morning, according to the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

The number of affected families is equivalent to 13,886 individuals, it added.

DSWD said 10 barangays from Cagayan Valley and the Bicol Region were affected by the weather disturbance.

Of the total affected families, 656 families, or 1,566 individuals, are in four evacuation centers.

Meanwhile, 17 families are taking shelter with their relatives or friends.

DSWD has distributed over ₱1.6 million worth of aid to the affected families.
