Kanagawa University Survival Game Club Members Enjoying the Game Divided into Green and Purple Teams
The color shooting event “Red Bull COLOR SPLASH – Green vs Purple -” where participants shoot colored ink at each other with water guns will be held from August 20th at Rooftop World on the roof of Yokohama World Porters (2 Shinko, Naka-ku, Yokohama).
Participants wear white T-shirts at the start. In a two-team competition format, players use water guns filled with either green ink inspired by Red Bull’s muscat flavor or purple ink inspired by the kyoho grape flavor.
Game types include “Color Splash Battle” where teams shoot each other and the team that dyes the opponent more wins; “vs BOSS Battle” where teams secretly designate a boss before starting and win by shooting through the circular “poi” on the opponent leader’s water gun; and “Let’s Color Splash” where everyone enjoys shooting water guns at each other.
The colored ink is a special ink developed for the event, harmless if ingested and made from washable materials, ensuring safe and secure shooting.
One participant who played the game on the 19th said while showing a smile and appearance of being thoroughly drenched with water guns that changed his color from white to green: “I got completely soaked and had so much fun!”
After the match, muscat-flavored Red Bull was distributed. Another participant commented: “This is my first time trying Red Bull, but it tastes like muscat juice and is easy to drink.”
Muscat-flavored Red Bull was previously sold as a limited edition “Red Bull Energy Drink Winter Edition” in winter 2023, and will begin regular sales as “Red Bull Energy Drink Green Edition” starting August 26th. Although not yet officially on sale, all event participants will receive the Green Edition.
Each game session has a capacity of 14 people, with participation requirements being 16 years or older. The participation fee is 1,000 yen, with full refunds provided on days when the temperature exceeds 35 degrees Celsius. Each session lasts approximately 1 hour. The event continues through August 24th.
