Starting August 20, China Eastern Airlines will upgrade its “Air Express” service on multiple domestic routes, including Shanghai Hongqiao–Beijing Capital, Beijing Daxing–Xi’an, and Shanghai Hongqiao–Shenzhen. Passengers selecting designated economy class cabins (N class and above) or premium economy class on wide-body aircraft for these routes will enjoy complimentary basic in-flight Wi-Fi service throughout the journey. This allows real-time communication, web browsing, and the use of office software during the flight. Additionally, leisure functions such as online shopping and reading e-books will also operate smoothly.

This upgrade further expands the coverage of complimentary in-flight Wi-Fi. Previously, the airline already provided free standard in-flight Wi-Fi service for first class and business class passengers on wide-body aircraft, automatically available after passenger verification.
