MANILA – Far from the bustle of Seoul’s neon-lit streets and Korean drama fantasies, thousands of Filipino women have built new lives as wives, mothers, and community leaders in a country still learning to embrace multiculturalism.
In a forum led by the Commission on Filipinos Overseas as part of its 45th anniversary on Monday, it was explained that Filipino wives in South Korea have faced many struggles and challenges, ultimately leading to their successes.
It was noted that in quiet Korean villages and urban multicultural centers, a different kind of love story unfolds, one not often seen in romantic dramas, but told in the everyday lives of thousands of Filipino women married
