A visitor from Turkmenistan explains why he decided to study in Sochi.

Regarding what Russian cartoons Turkmen children watch, what unites Turkey and Turkmenistan, and the role camels played in traditional wedding ceremonies in this Central Asian country, a second-year student of the Linguistics Department at the Sochi Institute (a branch of the Russian University of Friendship of Peoples) shared his story.
– Tell us about your family.
– I was born in the small town of Khodjambaz, Lebap region of Turkmenistan. I have a working family. My mother Nurjemal works in a kindergarten. My father’s name is Azat, and he is a driver. I have two brothers. One is a student studying in China, the other is a schoolboy and is still in Turkmen
