On the same day, Premier Li Qiang exchanged congratulatory messages with Nepalese Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. Li Qiang stated that China highly values the development of China-Nepal relations and is willing to work with Nepal to take the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties as an opportunity to accelerate high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and exchanges in various fields, further advancing the strategic partnership of cooperation between the two countries for development and prosperity.
Oli expressed that Nepal and China have consistently developed friendly relations based on the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence.
