On the evening of June 7, a program reported that local companies were using waste and recycled plastic materials to produce disposable toothbrushes. The municipal party committee and government attached great importance to this, instructing market supervision, ecological environment, and public security departments at the city and district levels to conduct verification and handling work overnight. As of now, investigations and evidence collection have been conducted on the involved business entities, sampling tests are being carried out, and 4.4 tons of involved items have been temporarily seized. In the next step, the case will be thoroughly investigated and dealt with strictly and promptly according to the law.
At the same time, we will learn from this incident and immediately organize a special investigation and rectification campaign for safety hazards in toothbrush product quality, strengthen routine daily supervision, and severely crack down on all types of illegal and non-compliant activities, to fully maintain market order and the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.
