The Beijing CBD Forum 2026 annual conference will be held in Beijing from June 15 to 17. The forum’s annual theme is “Openness and New Quality: World Changes and China’s New Start,” continuing the permanent theme “Dialogue with the World, Seek Common Development.” It will feature an opening ceremony, a multinational companies conference, four flagship events, and a series of activities. This year, the forum will be fully upgraded and enhanced, embodying the development concept of “a never-ending forum with ubiquitous negotiations.”

Beijing CBD is a window for China’s opening-up. On the 7 square kilometers of the CBD core area, nearly 16,000 foreign-funded institutions and 125 regional headquarters of multinational companies are concentrated, accounting for half of the total multinational headquarters in Beijing. Since its inception in 2000, the Beijing CBD Forum has continuously attracted leaders from top global business districts, large multinational enterprises, and international organizations. In recent years, foreign speakers have accounted for over 70% of the main forum, with participants covering more than 40 countries and regions. This year, the Beijing CBD Forum annual conference will set up overseas branch venues in London, Dubai, and Seoul. At the same time, it will launch the Global Business District Innovation Forum, sharing Beijing CBD’s practical experiences in technology commercialization, net-zero emission transformation, and innovation momentum cultivation, exploring high-quality development paths with top global business districts.

It is reported that the forum’s flagship event, the Beijing CBD Multinational Companies Conference, will invite representatives from international organizations, heads of international business associations, and global management of multinational companies. It will collaborate with institutions such as the International Monetary Fund to set topics and conduct discussions around the integration of multinational companies into municipal and district industrial and technological innovation during the “15th Five-Year Plan” period.

The special section activities are full of highlights. Among them, the Beijing CBD International Legal and Business Integration Forum focuses on cutting-edge topics such as foreign-related rule of law, commercial arbitration, and corporate compliance, building a Beijing CBD international legal and business cooperation network. The financial opening section, in partnership with strategic partner CITIC Group, will newly create the Beijing CBD International Financial Forum and CITIC Wealth and Investment Conference. The technological innovation section, centered on the 2026 Chaoyang Science and Technology Innovation Development Conference, focuses on core tracks of new quality productive forces such as artificial intelligence, digital economy, and green technology, promoting deep integration of innovation, industry, capital, and talent chains. The cultural industry section builds a professional dialogue platform around high-quality international cultural industry development, empowering the development pattern of new quality productive forces. The international consumption section will launch the CBD Forum consumption season activities, leveraging the driving effect of “exhibition + consumption.”

In addition, international flagship events build bridges for global cooperation. The Roundtable Dialogue with Foreign Diplomats will closely follow the annual theme, supplemented by visits and research, to establish a normalized dialogue mechanism between Beijing CBD and foreign diplomats. The Foreign Delegations China Tour, structured around five main themes, organizes in-depth visits and experience exchange, promoting a shift from short-term interactions to sustainable collaboration. The Beijing-Hong Kong Cooperation Empowering Global Expansion theme event focuses on core needs of enterprises going global, providing full-chain support for the two-way development of Chinese and foreign enterprises. The Roundtable Dialogue between Chinese and Foreign Automakers, leveraging Chaoyang District’s advantage of concentrated multinational automotive companies, builds an industry-academia-research dialogue platform to promote the integration and upgrading of the automotive industry.

Beijing CBD is not only a top global business district but also an important node for Beijing’s construction as an international consumption center city. During the forum annual conference, various business districts in Chaoyang District will offer diverse consumption discounts, amplifying the driving effect of “exhibition + consumption.” Among them, the central green square in the CBD core area will host a themed auto show during the conference. China World Mall will collaborate with the World Cup IP to carry out special activities. China Central Place will create the first China-Arab “Silk Road” Cultural Consumption Festival. Gaobeidian Township will host the “Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal” Kayak Marathon Series and Capital University Dragon Boat Championship. The Yayao business district will also hold intensive performance activities, sparking a city consumption boom.
