The accident occurred at an intersection where a prefectural road and a city road meet in Asakaze 2-chome, Teine Ward, Sapporo.
The woman on the bicycle, upon colliding with the car, also struck another car that was stopped.
The woman was conscious but was bleeding from her head and was taken to the hospital.
Police believe the 82-year-old woman driving the car did not notice the bicycle and hit it, and they are investigating the detailed cause of the accident.
