Jakarta – The Forensic Laboratory Center of the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit conducted a crime scene investigation in the Kebon Kosong area, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. The investigation involved examining the scene and questioning witnesses.

Witnesses were interviewed by forensic investigators. Several questions were posed by the forensic team, and the witnesses provided answers.

The forensic team then completed the witness interviews and moved on to the scene investigation. The investigation took place at locations previously marked by police tape.

During the investigation, forensic personnel collected several pieces of fire evidence. They also documented the evidence that had been gathered.

It is known that 250 residential homes were reported burned down in this incident. It is reported that 350 families were affected.

Firefighters received initial reports of the fire on Monday (June 1) at around 8:55 PM local time, with firefighting operations beginning at 9:05 PM local time. The firefighting operation concluded at 4:15 AM local time.

Three people sustained injuries from this fire. The victims were immediately taken to the hospital. The fire is suspected to have been caused by an electrical short circuit.
