Puducherry exit poll results: With the assembly elections completed, all eyes are now on the exit polls for Puducherry and other states. The 2026 Puducherry assembly election was held in a single phase. Voting took place on April 9 in the union territory.
In the 30-member union territory, there is traditionally a strong contest between the NDA led by the All India NR Congress (AINRC) and the alliance comprising Congress, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), and Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK). However, this time, the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has added a new dimension in several constituencies.
Any party or alliance needs a total of 16 seats to form a government. The tough competition between actor Vijay’s TVK and Seeman’s Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) has made the election more interesting.
Exit poll results, released after the official ban imposed by the Election Commission was lifted, predict a clear victory for the BJP and its allies. According to estimates, the BJP and its allies could win 16-20 seats, the Congress and its allies could win 6-8 seats, while other parties could secure 3-7 seats. The counting of votes will take place on May 4.

According to estimates, the NDA could win 19-25 seats, while the Congress-DMK alliance could win 6-10 seats.
