New Delhi, May 30. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has stated that today, during the Common University Entrance Test CUET (UG) 2026, the start of the exam was delayed at some test centers due to a technical issue.
The NTA said that the company TCS, which is involved in exam operations, reported a technical glitch on its end. The NTA stated on social media today that the problem has been resolved and it is being ensured that no candidate suffers any loss. For this, test-takers at the affected centers are being given the full allotted time to solve the question paper.
They have also released a revised schedule for the afternoon session. According to the new schedule, candidate reporting and entry process will begin at 2:30 PM, while the exam will now start at 4:00 PM. Previously, the exam was scheduled to start at 3:00 PM.
The NTA clarified that candidates in the morning session were also provided the full duration of the exam and will only be allowed to leave the test center after the allotted time is complete.
The National Testing Agency expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to students and parents, stating that the fairness of the exam and the protection of candidates’ interests are the highest priority.
They said that for any assistance or information, candidates can contact the NTA helpline at 91-11-40759000 or send an email to cuet-ug@nta.ac.in.
