Bhumjaithai Party Leaves Thai Ruling Coalition Following Audio Leak Incident

“Bhumjaithai will support the military and officials who are protecting the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national interests of Thailand by all means,” the party declared in a statement.

According to Reuters, the Bhumjaithai Party is the second largest in the Thai ruling coalition, holding 69 seats in the Parliament.

Explaining the reason for withdrawing from the coalition, Bhumjaithai revealed that it stemmed from a leaked recording between Prime Minister Paetongtarn and the President of the Cambodian Senate concerning the Thailand-Cambodia border dispute.
