Vice President Gibran and Governor Khofifah Encourage the Export of Blitar Djembe Drums

The Vice President and the Governor of East Java visited the Budi Luhur SME in Sentul Village, Blitar, on Wednesday. The visit aimed to observe the production process and the flagship products that have penetrated the international market.

Budi Luhur SME, which has successfully exported jimbe drums to China, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Brazil, and the United States, also employs 30 local workers and collaborates with 40 other craftsmen in the village.

The Governor appreciated this achievement. “The export of jimbe drums is not only an economic achievement but also proof that SMEs, with collaboration and government support, can compete in the global market,” she said.

She added that the demand for jimbe drums and frame drums is high, reaching 100-300 units per day, with the largest domestic market in Central Java, West Java, and Kalimantan.
