The 2026 Chongqing International Industrial Expo and the 26th Lijia International Intelligent Equipment Exhibition opened in Chongqing on May 28, covering a total exhibition area of 90,000 square meters. It brings together 1,300 leading domestic and international brand enterprises, showcasing 1,100 sets of heavy-duty equipment weighing over one ton and tens of thousands of precision core functional components.
The exhibits fully cover areas such as metal cutting machine tools, industrial automation, laser sheet metal, new energy vehicle complete equipment, industrial robots and embodied intelligence, and high-precision quality inspection.
The industrial automation and embodied intelligence exhibition area attracted significant attention.
“This is our first time exhibiting in Chongqing, and the results have been good. The foot traffic has been steady since morning,” said a manager from Qiyuan (Dalian) Automation Equipment Co., Ltd. In recent years, Chongqing’s development momentum has been strong. As a northern company looking to expand southward, the Pearl River Delta region is highly competitive, while the central and western regions are growing rapidly. Therefore, the company chose to establish a presence in Chongqing, seeing great development potential and opportunities to enter many industries.
“Chongqing is a manufacturing hub with industries such as automotive, motorcycle, and aerospace, so we chose to deepen our roots here,” said the general manager of Luohuang (Chongqing) Robot Co., Ltd. The company has been in the automation industry for 15 years, providing automated loading and unloading services to manufacturers that supply leading automotive companies.
The automation industry is a key driver of the robotics sector. Although operating in a popular industry, the general manager noted that automation involves high R&D costs and stringent process requirements. Many automation production line projects are non-standard and not replicable, so blind investment and expansion must be avoided. Looking ahead, he believes China’s manufacturing sector will transition toward higher-level intelligent manufacturing. With the advancement of AI and embodied intelligent robots, more market opportunities will emerge.
The exhibition also hosts over 60 high-end industry summits, technical forums, process exchange meetings, and matchmaking events. The “2026 FIM·Second Future Intelligent Manufacturing Conference” will deeply analyze the large-scale implementation path of industrial large models. The “2026 Key Component Manufacturing Technology Exchange for Embodied Intelligent Robots” and the “World Action Models and Embodied Native Large Model Technology Seminar” will share cutting-edge technologies and development trends.
