New Delhi, The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras will deploy at least two faculty members and support staff to assist the CBSE in resolving technical issues related to the re-evaluation process. IIT Madras Director V. Kamakoti announced this on Monday.
Following directives from Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, faculty members are being deputed to investigate all technical problems that have emerged since the launch of re-evaluation services this year. The directive includes deploying teams of professors and technical experts from IIT-Madras and IIT-Kanpur to help the CBSE ensure an error-free process.
Responding to a query, Director Kamakoti stated that the appointed team has extensive experience handling large-scale web portals and related hardware and software infrastructure. He said, “Some faculty members or staff with experience in managing large-scale web portals and related hardware or software infrastructure will be appointed.”

The director said, “Their primary role is to analyze the root cause of the problem and suggest quick remedies when needed, following which long-term solutions will be developed to ensure a robust platform for students.” The institute noted that the team’s engagement duration will depend on the “root causes” identified during the analysis. Kamakoti added, “They will remain engaged until the platform is strengthened.” Recently, the CBSE faced criticism from students and parents over technical glitches, payment failures, and access issues during the verification and re-evaluation process.
Earlier, the Education Ministry announced that an expert team from IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur would implement targeted technical improvements in the system and technical workflow, specifically examining the portal’s stability and server performance. The ministry stated, “The team will also examine the robustness of the overall IT infrastructure and assist in taking corrective measures to ensure that login authentication/user access systems/payment gateways are accurate and systematic.”
