Now there is bullying by Prashant Barman, the BDO of Rajganj, Jalpaiguri, accused in the kidnapping and murder of Salt Lake gold trader Swapan Kamilya! He has been accused of bullying while drunk on a public road. A video of that incident has gone viral on social media. The release of that video has caused widespread uproar in the area. The incident occurred around 10:30 PM on Monday in front of the Sarchi signal in New Town. However, the authenticity of the video has not been verified.

Local pedestrians in Salt Lake allege that the accused BDO, while driving drunk, hit a motorcyclist. The motorcyclist fell and became bloodied in the incident. On-duty police officers rescued the injured motorcyclist and sent him to the hospital. Many local pedestrians confronted and protested why he was driving in such a manner. After that protest, BDO Prashant Barman was seen in a different form. He was seen openly ‘bullying’ on the road while drunk.

Some people recorded the incident on video. That video has already spread on social media. In the viral video, the accused BDO Prashant Barman is seen sometimes calling the protesters ‘corrupt’ and at other times threatening to ‘slap them’. At one point, he got out of the car and, with unsteady steps, was heard telling the police, ‘Arrest me.’ The accused BDO has been detained by the police from the Eco Park police station of the Bidhannagar Commissionerate.
