The meteorological department reminds people in Yangjiang to minimize going outside. If you must go out, please avoid areas prone to water accumulation and do not force your way through flooded waters. Residents living in low-lying residential areas can take appropriate “small enclosure” measures, such as placing flood boards at the door. Electrical outlets and switches in ground-floor homes should be relocated to a safe place at least 1 meter above the ground. Once floodwater enters the house, immediately cut off the power supply to prevent electrocution. In the event of waterlogging, quickly take shelter in a sturdy building on higher ground, while remaining alert to allow for changing shelter locations if necessary.
