The fire at the landfill in Dvubratskoye settlement was reported on the morning of August 6.
Currently, a fire truck, bulldozer, and loader are working at the scene. Special equipment is visible preventing the spread of flames. Relevant specialists are also on duty.
The burning area at the solid waste landfill covers 150 square meters.
The landfill near Dvubratskoye village collected waste from Ust-Labinsk, Vyselkovsky, Tbilissky, and Korenovsky districts. In July, the site was temporarily closed for 60 days following an inspection.
“This landfill has been flagged multiple times. In 2024 alone, at least three fires were recorded here.”
An investigation has been initiated regarding violations of environmental protection regulations during operations.
