A conflict involving traumatic weapons occurred near an entertainment venue on Zipovskaya Street in Krasnodar on the night of February 9.

Investigators found that a 33-year-old resident of Grozny got into a conflict near the entrance of a nightclub, during which he retrieved a traumatic pistol from his car and fired at least nine shots at security guards and bystanders out of hooligan motives. One of the victims suffered severe bodily harm.

The man was charged with hooliganism using an object as a weapon, violence against citizens, and intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm.

The charges were confirmed by Krasnodar investigative authorities. The criminal case has been sent to court. The man faces up to 14 years in prison.

The suspect fled in a Ford Mondeo, which was later stopped at the “Uspensky” traffic police checkpoint. A 34-year-old passenger, who was also involved in the shooting near the club, was in the car.

Both the driver and the passenger were detained. The vehicle was searched, and an object resembling a traumatic pistol, along with a magazine and 18 rounds of ammunition, was found and seized.

The attacker shot at a nightclub security guard, who sustained a serious eye injury.
