The National Meteorological Center expects in its weather report today, Wednesday, medium to heavy thunderstorms leading to flash floods accompanied by hail and active winds reducing horizontal visibility in parts of the Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha regions, extending to the highlands of Makkah.
The impact of active winds raising dust and sand will continue in parts of the Eastern region, as well as in parts of the Madinah and Makkah regions, especially coastal areas, leading to near-zero horizontal visibility on the coastal road leading to Jazan.
Red Sea
Surface winds: Northwesterly to westerly at 20-48 km/h, reaching 55 km/h in the southern part.
Wave height: 1 to 2 meters, reaching 2.5 meters in the southern part.
Sea condition: Moderate waves, becoming rough in the southern part.
Arabian Gulf
Surface winds: Southeasterly to easterly at 8-28 km/h.
Wave height: 0.5 to 1 meter.
Sea condition: Slight waves.
Eastern Region Weather
The National Meteorological Center warned in its weather report of the continuation of a heatwave in parts of the Eastern region today, Wednesday.
The phenomenon begins at 11 AM and continues until 5 PM.
The warning includes: Al-Ahsa, Al-Many, Baqeeq, Al-Nairiyah, and Hafar Al-Batin.
Associated effects include high temperatures (47–48°C).
Al-Khafji, Al-Nairiyah, Hafar Al-Batin, and Qurayyat will experience active winds starting at 9 AM and continuing until 9 PM.
This will be accompanied by reduced horizontal visibility, with wind speeds reaching (40–49) km/h.
