Du Pingping was discharged from the hospital and returned home.

“It feels great to be home!” On the afternoon of May 18, after 79 days of hospitalization, Du Pingping, the popular ice jelly stall owner, recovered and was discharged.

On February 28, Du Pingping, who was selling ice jelly at a market, was involved in a serious car accident, plunging her ordinary family into hardship. At the critical moment, nearly a hundred fellow night market stallholders lent a helping hand, and the market management promised to reserve her stall and waive the rent. After this story was reported, many netizens sent their blessings and encouragement to Du Pingping from afar, accompanying her through the difficult treatment period with simple kindness.

On the morning of May 18, Du Pingping was visited at the hospital. Compared to her previous haggard and weak state, her condition had visibly improved, and her face was full of smiles. She said she had been looking forward to being discharged as soon as possible so that her ice jelly stall could reopen. “After I was injured, so many people blessed and encouraged me. Just yesterday, an old customer sent me a message cheering me on. I remember every act of kindness in my heart, and I am truly touched,” she said.

That afternoon, the head of the market, along with several stallholders, came to the hospital to pick up Du Pingping upon her discharge. Familiar faces, sincere greetings, and fragrant flowers intertwined, filling the ward with warmth.

Du Pingping told everyone that the physical pain and psychological pressure from the car accident once made her collapse in despair. It was the warm care from the night market stallholders, market management, and countless netizens that gradually healed her wounds, supported her through the toughest days, and helped her regain hope and confidence in life.

“It feels great to be home! Thank you to the night market friends, the management, and the many netizens for your concern. I will get back to my stall as soon as possible,” Du Pingping said.

It is understood that after being discharged, Du Pingping will enter a phase of home recovery. She plans to first let her husband manage the small stall business while she actively rehabilitates. Once she fully recovers, she will return to the market and resume her stall life.
