Recently, road traffic accidents caused by self-driving tour vehicles have occurred in Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Qinghai, Xinjiang, and other regions, resulting in severe casualties. The Traffic Management Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security issued a safety warning for self-driving tours during the summer vacation on August 6, emphasizing that the concentration of self-driving trips during this period poses significant traffic safety risks.

Before embarking on a self-driving trip, plan your travel time and route in advance. Stay informed about road conditions and weather along the way, and avoid driving for extended periods at night or in rainy or foggy conditions. Particularly during summer, frequent heavy rains increase the risk of mountain floods and mudslides. Stay away from mountainous and valley areas, and do not attempt to cross flooded roads or bridges.

During the trip, ensure adequate sleep and maintain good physical condition. If you feel unwell, stop to rest or seek medical attention. Avoid driving while fatigued or “under the weather.” Stay focused while driving, adhere to speed limits, and avoid distractions. In congested or slow-moving traffic, follow the queue. All passengers must wear seat belts at all times. Do not drive continuously for more than four hours, and take breaks of at least 20 minutes each time.
