This year, the wholesale volume of durians from this supplier to large supermarkets has decreased from 45% to 35%, while the volume for community group buying has risen from 10% to 20%. Vietnamese Golden Pillow durian grade A fruit had a wholesale average price of 19 yuan per jin, down more than 40% from a month earlier and over 30% compared to the same period last year.

Visiting several durian retail stores in Beijing, prices were found to have dropped compared to earlier, attracting many durian enthusiasts.

A supermarket manager stated that current durian sales at the store have roughly doubled compared to last year, with direct procurement volume increasing by 80% to 120% over previous years.
