In March 2026, Slovenia’s industrial output grew by 3.8% compared to the same month last year, a sharp rebound from the previous month’s downwardly revised 3.8% decline. This marks the first increase in eight months since July 2025.
Manufacturing output rose (6.4%, compared to 0.3% in February), while mining and quarrying output continued to fall (-12.0%, compared to -1.1% in February).
The decline in electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply narrowed (-14.1%, compared to -31.9% in February).
By category, output increased for capital goods (15.3%, compared to 8.8% in February), consumer goods (8.2%, compared to -1.4% in February), and non-durable consumer goods (10.8%, compared to -1.9% in February), while durable goods output decreased (-5.1%, compared to 0.6% in February).
On a monthly basis, industrial activity grew by 4.9% in March.
