Part of the EDSA-Ortigas Interchange was temporarily closed to motorists on Sunday for testing and other repair work. It will also undergo retrofitting and repair.

The move is necessary to ensure motorists’ safety after an incident along EDSA-Ortigas southbound on Friday.

The following activities will be conducted at the Interchange on Sunday, April 26:

  • Clearing and cleaning of affected areas;
  • Reinstallation of damaged road safety devices; and
  • Conduct of load testing on the EDSA-Ortigas Interchange.

Traffic re-routing will be implemented for northbound left turning vehicles to EDSA-Ortigas at-grade intersection.

The EDSA-Ortigas Interchange will be open starting Monday, April 27, but only for light or small vehicles.

Retrofitting and repair works will be done on the affected segments to make the interchange safe for all motorists.
