About: Prophet’s Mosque

The Prophet’s Mosque, also known as Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, is located in Medina, Saudi Arabia, and is one of the holiest sites in Islam. Originally built by the Prophet Muhammad in 622 CE next to his house, it served as a community center, a court, and a religious school. Over the centuries, it has been expanded and renovated multiple times, and it currently encompasses the tomb of Muhammad, making it a major pilgrimage site for Muslims around the world, especially during the Hajj season.
