The Tangerang City Government installs a banner declaring ownership of the former SDN Rawa Bokor Benda asset.

The Tangerang City Government successfully secured physical control of a state-owned asset, the former SDN Rawa Bokor land measuring 1,580 square meters, in an enforcement operation conducted on Friday afternoon, April 24, 2026.

The security process, which had been ongoing since morning, was initially difficult due to resistance from residents claiming to be heirs of the land.

The situation even heated up as arguments and pushing and shoving occurred between residents and Satpol PP officers.

After several back-and-forth exchanges, officers forcibly entered the land, dismantled the zinc fence erected by residents, and installed a banner reading “This Land Belongs to the Tangerang City Government.”

The Regional Secretary of Tangerang City, Herman Suwarman, who directly monitored the process, emphasized that this step was a form of government responsibility in protecting state assets protected by valid legal documents.

“What we are doing is certainly based on existing legal steps. There was indeed some tough negotiation and slight tension in the field earlier. However, with the readiness of joint personnel and a measured approach, we were able to fully secure this asset,” he said.

He also ensured that the entire security process was carried out in accordance with administrative procedures and applicable legal provisions.

According to him, this step is important so that the land can be reused for the benefit of the wider community.

“We will not allow state assets to be unilaterally controlled without proper legal basis, especially since this asset is intended for public interest,” the Regional Secretary asserted.

Going forward, the Tangerang City Government will continue to respect the ongoing legal process, while urging all parties not to take unlawful actions on the state-owned land.
