Flying cars at the Beijing Auto Show: Could air taxis compete with first-class high-speed rail?
Tianlingke’s first full-size tilting ducted wing eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft) L600 made its debut at the Beijing Auto Show. The full tilt technology route enables better flight performance and faster flight speeds. Commercialization still requires a certain period, with small-scale operations expected by 2028 and large-scale operations by 2035. Current estimates indicate that by 2030, the cost per seat per kilometer can reach 1.5 RMB, with terminal ticket prices falling between high-speed rail first-class and business-class fares.
