Mobile Library Enlivens Car-Free Day on Margonda, Depok

Sunday, June 15, 2025 – The atmosphere of the Car Free Day (CFD) on Margonda Raya Street, Depok, on Sunday (15/6/2025) felt different with the presence of a mobile library owned by the Depok City Library and Archives Service. Operating from 06:00–09:00 around the Depok Open Space (DOS), this vehicle offers thousands of books that visitors can read for free.

Not only carrying books, the organizers also prepared tables and reading chairs to create a comfortable atmosphere. The activity aims to foster reading interest among the public, especially children and teenagers. Picture books are favorites, thus the collection of such books has been increased.

The enthusiasm of the public is quite high. In one event, 30–70 children and teenagers take the time to read while enjoying the CFD atmosphere. Cyclists and other visitors also often stop by to read with their children.
