A disturbing incident has surfaced from the upscale Vesu–Subhashnagar area, where a newlywed woman from a prominent industrialist family was found dead under mysterious circumstances on Tuesday. Khyati Kejriwal, daughter-in-law of the Kejriwal family that owns Harmony Yarns, was found hanging in her bedroom barely two months after her wedding, sending shockwaves through business circles and the local community. According to initial reports, Khyati had lunch with her family before going to rest in her third-floor bedroom at their Subhashnagar bungalow. When she did not come downstairs for several hours, the family grew concerned. Repeated knocks on the door went unanswered.

Her husband, Abhishek Kejriwal, a director at the firm, was alerted. The family used a duplicate key to open the room and found Khyati hanging from a ceiling fan with a dupatta. She was rushed to Civil Hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.

The reason behind the alleged suicide remains unclear. No suicide note was found during preliminary investigation, deepening the mystery. Assistant Commissioner of Police Vijay Malhotra said an accidental death case has been registered. “We have not found any suicide note so far. The investigation is ongoing, including examination of her mobile phone and call records,” he said. As Umra police continue their probe, the case remains unresolved, leaving the family and community searching for answers.
