Turn Kalimalang into a Tourist Destination, Council Member Ahmadi: The City Government Must Collaborate with Stakeholders

KOTA BEKASI – A member of Commission IV explained that the government must synergize to turn Kalimalang into a water tourism destination.

This was stated during a Focus Group Discussion organized by the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Islamic Religion.

“In this case, the Bekasi City Government must collaborate with several stakeholders to make Kalimalang a water tourism destination,” he explained.

Furthermore, it was mentioned that pros and cons are bound to occur when a city wants to change for the better.

“Pros and cons will definitely exist when a city wants to develop for the better. But I think using Kalimalang as a tourism destination is an interesting concept, as long as it benefits the people of Bekasi City,” he added.

It was also hoped that the Bekasi City Government could communicate with the West Java Provincial Government regarding the budget to be used for the Kalimal
