From April 22 to 23, Wang Zhonglin, secretary of the provincial party committee and director of the provincial people’s congress standing committee, visited enterprises, communities, and villages in Zhangwan District, Zhuxi County, and Zhushan County of Shiyan City. He engaged in face-to-face discussions with frontline cadres and the public, investigating efforts to establish and practice a correct view of achievements through education and learning, as well as county-level economy and distinctive industrial development. He emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement the guiding principles from an inspection tour of Hubei Province, solidly carry out education and learning to establish and practice a correct view of achievements, consciously create tangible results through practical work, seek benefits for the people, strengthen distinctive advantageous industries, improve grassroots governance systems, and ensure and enhance people’s livelihoods with greater effort, effectively testing the outcomes of education and learning through high-quality development.

In recent years, Shiyan City has leveraged its strong foundation in the automotive and equipment manufacturing industries to attract a number of upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain to settle and expand investment, achieving good results. Wang Zhonglin successively visited Hubei Meiruite Air Conditioning System Co., Ltd., Envision Power Technology (Hubei) Co., Ltd., Yubang Electronics (Hubei) Technology Co., Ltd., and Yuqiang New Materials (Hubei) Co., Ltd. He went into production workshops and exhibition halls, engaging in in-depth exchanges with relevant leaders to understand the companies’ scientific research, product performance, production scale, and market sales. He inquired about opinions and suggestions, hoping that enterprises would strengthen their confidence in development, seize market opportunities, continuously increase investment in technological innovation, actively expand domestic and international markets, extend the industrial chain, and enhance the value chain, injecting new momentum into regional economic high-quality development.

Shiyan City has unique natural advantages in its landscape and resources, and is actively exploring effective paths to convert ecological advantages into distinctive industrial advantages. Wang Zhonglin visited Zhuxi Wosi Beverage (Hubei) Co., Ltd. to learn in detail about the characteristics of Zhuxi mountain spring water. He urged local authorities to implement the strictest ecological environmental protection system, safeguard the green mountains and clear waters, and achieve a virtuous cycle of ecological protection and income growth for the people. He also visited the Rammed Earth Town Lacquer Art Gallery, showing great interest in understanding the materials and techniques of Zhuxi lacquer art. He encouraged the local area to inherit and promote the excellent traditional Chinese culture, better integrating lacquerware production and display with rural tourism to create a new picture of integrated development in agriculture, forestry, culture, and tourism. At the Low-Altitude Economy Industrial Park in Zhushan County, Wang Zhonglin listened carefully to an introduction about the development of the low-altitude economy in the area. He encouraged the local authorities to fully utilize favorable airspace conditions and the general aviation airport foundation, accelerate innovation in business models, expand application scenarios, and create a model for county-level low-altitude economy development. He also inspected the Pankou Pumped Storage Project site on the spot, requiring relevant units to organize meticulously and construct scientifically to ensure project quality and safety, contributing stable and reliable clean energy to economic and social development.

Currently, education and learning to establish and practice a correct view of achievements are being deeply carried out across the province. Wang Zhonglin visited Lianhua Community in Chengguan Town, Zhushan County, going into the community committee and police station. He had cordial conversations with community cadres and grassroots police officers, learning in detail about the community’s education and learning activities and grassroots social governance. Wang Zhonglin said that communities connect thousands of households and are the “last mile” of serving the people. He urged using education and learning as an opportunity to truly examine oneself, one’s responsibilities, and one’s work, fundamentally addressing the core issues of “for whom achievements are made, what kind of achievements to make, and how to make achievements,” fostering a clean and upright atmosphere of seeking truth and being pragmatic.

During the inspection, Wang Zhonglin fully affirmed Shiyan’s good development momentum. He pointed out that as the province advances on a new journey during the “15th Five-Year Plan” period, the internal and external environments and supporting conditions for Shiyan’s development have undergone new changes and ushered in new historical opportunities. He emphasized the need to clarify development ideas, press forward with added pressure, and guide the city’s cadres and people to “think with one mind and work with one effort,” striving to build Shiyan into a regional central city in western Hubei.
