Muhammad Edison Ginting has been appointed as the sole candidate for Chairman of the Medan City Government Journalists Association (PWPM) for the 2026-2028 term.
Accompanied by his supporters, Muhammad Edison Ginting, who previously served as Chairman of the Medan City Government Journalists Association for three terms, submitted the required documents to the committee on Thursday, April 23, 2026.
Based on the verification results conducted by the committee, the documents submitted by Muhammad Edison Ginting met all the requirements.
With all the requested requirements fulfilled, the committee then designated Muhammad Edison Ginting as the only candidate who advanced and met the criteria.
The chairman of the election committee for the PWPM chairman for the 2026-2028 term stated that they had closed the registration phase for candidates.
“We have contacted other candidates, and they have declared their withdrawal from running, so the committee has decided that there is only one candidate for PWPM chairman for the 2026-2028 term,” he said.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Edison Ginting expressed his gratitude to the committee for carrying out the election process efficiently.
“Furthermore, I also thank my colleagues who have supported me to once again become Chairman of PWPM for the 2026-2028 term,” he said.
To this end, Muhammad Edison Ginting is determined to unite all parties and ensure that journalists who are members of PWPM can align their vision and mission for mutual progress.
