According to a review conducted by a specialist in detecting fake news, the viral video had previously been published in different versions, promoted as showing weapons from other countries, including China, which reinforces the hypothesis of content manipulation and recycling in misleading contexts.
Clear indicators of forgery
Visual analysis revealed clear indicators of forgery, including an illogical change in the shape of the cannon from the inside after firing, along with unnatural movement of parts of its structure, as well as distortions in the background and surrounding elements such as plants.
Specialized tools for detecting AI-generated content also showed that the probability of the image being digitally generated exceeds 70%, while the probability of the audio being generated reaches about 99%.
The spread of this clip comes amid rising use of artificial intelligence technologies to produce misleading visual content, posing increasing challenges for verifying information, especially on military and security issues.
