● Municipal action only for show?

Illegal film shooting has been reported on the grounds of K. J. Somaiya University, which falls within the jurisdiction of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation. A complaint was filed with the administration, and despite initial action, the shooting continues, raising questions about the corporation’s stance.
According to sources, shooting for the film “Dada” is underway on the field near the university hospital. No official permission was obtained from the Mumbai Municipal Corporation or the fire department for this shoot. Additionally, 25 to 30 foreign nationals are present during the shooting, raising doubts about their visas and work permits. Most shockingly, gas cylinders were found on the college campus, yet no concrete action was taken by the corporation. This has led to questions about who is behind this. The presence of illegal cylinders, especially near a hospital on campus, has heightened safety concerns for patients, students, and staff.
Meanwhile, citizens have accused the corporation of taking only superficial action. Although officials reportedly visited and conducted some inspection, it is clear that shooting continues today. This has cast doubt on the administration’s actions. Against this backdrop, concerned citizens have urged the administration to intervene immediately. They demand that the illegal shooting be stopped promptly and that strict action be taken against the production team involved.
