On the morning of April 15, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and President of the State Xi Jinping met with representatives of Chinese and Vietnamese youth participating in the “Red Study Tour” at the Great Hall of the People, together with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President of the State To Lam, who was in China on a state visit.
Xi Jinping stated that last year, General Secretary To Lam and I jointly launched the “Red Study Tour” project. Over the past year, young people from both countries have explored the shared “red genes” of China-Vietnam friendship, experienced the vast prospects of Chinese modernization, and left behind many vivid stories of mutual learning and growing friendship across various regions of China. The future of China-Vietnam friendship lies with the youth. I believe that the young people of China and Vietnam will surely have the courage to become inheritors and successors of the enduring friendship between our two nations, and our shared cause will certainly continue to thrive.
