Strengthening National Insight, Head of Regional Legislative Council Undergoes Leadership Retreat at Magelang Military Academy.
Depok – The Chairman of the Depok City Regional House of Representatives is currently undergoing intensive leadership training alongside legislative leaders from across Indonesia at the Military Academy (Akmil) in Magelang, Central Java. The activity, titled the Regional Leadership Consolidation Course (KPPD), is taking place from April 15–19, 2026, as an effort to strengthen the integrity and capacity of regional leaders.
This program, organized by the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) of the Republic of Indonesia, is designed to forge adaptive strategic leadership and ensure regional policies remain aligned with the direction of national development.
Thorough Preparation Through Adeksi Working Meeting
Before entering the gates of Akmil for training, the Chairman first participated in a series of technical preparations. This was done to ensure the DPRD leaders had mature mental and administrative readiness before receiving national defense and leadership materials.
“Since Monday, we have been gathered by the Association of City DPRDs Across Indonesia (Adeksi) to conduct a Working Meeting. This is part of the preparation before we fully immerse ourselves in this leadership retreat series,” he stated.
President Prabowo Subianto Scheduled to Give Direct Guidance
This KPPD retreat is a crucial moment as it is planned to be opened directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, on Thursday (April 16, 2026). The President’s presence aims to provide strategic guidance regarding synergy between the central and regional governments in facing the challenges of modern governance.
Main Training Materials of KPPD 2026:
National Insight: Instilling a spirit of patriotism in every public policy decision.
Regional Resilience: Forming resilient leader characters in facing social and economic complexities.
Policy Synergy: Ensuring regional regulations (Perda) are harmonious with national strategic policies.
Bringing the Spirit of Discipline to Depok City
Participation in this national forum is expected to bring a significant impact on improving the performance of the Depok City DPRD. The experience of being trained in a military environment is projected to strengthen discipline and professionalism in carrying out legislative, budgeting, and oversight functions.
“This activity is very important for us to strengthen leadership capacity in the regions while deepening national insight. Synergy between the center and the regions must be strengthened so that development truly hits the target for the community,” he concluded.
By participating in this training at the Magelang Military Academy, the Chairman is expected to return to Depok City with a sharper leadership vision oriented towards resilience and citizen welfare.
