Staying Updated with New Technology and Adopting Lifelong Learning is the Key to Success: Experts

Surat. A Career Guidance Festival was organized by the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the aim of providing students in Surat with the right career direction.

Under this festival, a special session was held on April 14, 2026, in Samriddhi, Nanpura, where expert faculty provided detailed guidance to students on the career options available after 10th and 12th grades.

Experts stated that the time after 10th and 12th grades is the most crucial turning point in a student’s life, where the right decision determines the future direction.

They emphasized that in the absence of correct information, many students make wrong choices, therefore professional counseling alongside the role of parents and teachers is extremely important.

The session also highlighted growing opportunities in emerging fields such as Information Technology, Digital Media, Data Analytics, Management, and Creative Industries. Experts advised students to choose a career considering their interests, capabilities, and market demand.

It was also clarified that merely obtaining a degree is not enough; communication skills, problem-solving ability, and practical knowledge are equally important. Students were given the message to stay updated with new technologies and adopt a mindset of ‘lifelong learning’.

During the program, a welcome speech was delivered. In the concluding question-and-answer session, students asked their questions and received solutions to their career-related doubts.
