Krasnodar, June 17. A meeting of the regional commission for the prevention and elimination of emergencies was held. The meeting discussed measures to ensure fire safety and the forecast of the development of the fire hazard situation. From April 1, the fire hazard season has started in the region. This year, 348 cases of dry vegetation fires have been registered over an area of 7.2 hectares.
In the territory of 44 municipal entities of the region, a special fire prevention regime has been introduced, and additional fire safety measures have been established. The entry of vehicles and visits by the public to forest areas have been restricted. Municipal authorities are required to ensure compliance with fire safety requirements, including the creation of mineralized strips and other fire barriers.
