The railway photography exhibition “TRAIN×KANAGAWA+2” was held from late February to early March at the Minatomirai Gallery on the 2nd floor of Queen’s Square Yokohama Queen’s Mall. This event attracted approximately 3,700 visitors over four days, and is featured in this photo collection.

Organized by “TRAIN×KANAGAWA”

The exhibition was organized by the group “TRAIN×KANAGAWA”, which was formed in February 2020. The group’s representative stated, “The idea started when the owner of gallery fu in Yokohama’s Ishikawacho asked me to plan a photo exhibition, and I came up with the concept of an exhibition themed on Kanagawa Prefecture’s railways.” Initially, the representative invited fellow railway photography enthusiasts, and through introductions, the number of participants grew.

The group holds an exhibition approximately once a year. Past exhibitions include:

February 2020: TRAIN×KANAGAWA (gallery fu / Yokohama)
August 2021: TRAIN×KANAGAWA2 (gallery fu / Yokohama)
September 2022: TRAIN×KANAGAWA3 (Kanakku Hall Gallery / Yokohama)

This year’s exhibition featured 21 participants, each displaying one photograph on the theme of “Railways of Kanagawa Prefecture.”

Visitors shared comments such as: “It’s nice that they are presenting not spectacular or cool trains, but the very ordinary, everyday scenes familiar to Kanagawa residents—it feels unpretentious,” “The Tsurumi Line feels the most familiar to me,” and “Photographs of landscapes with railways are wonderful.” The following is a collection of the photographs from the exhibition.
