Seversky district

The Seversky district is a municipal administrative region located in the southern part of Russia’s Krasnodar Krai. Historically, its development has been closely tied to agriculture and the Cossack settlements of the Kuban region, with its modern formation as an administrative unit occurring in the 20th century. Today, it is known for its fertile farmland, traditional Kuban culture, and as part of the larger area surrounding the city of Krasnodar.

Krasnodar Krai

Krasnodar Krai is a federal subject and historical region in southern Russia, often referred to as Kuban. Its territory, centered on the fertile Kuban River basin, was historically part of the Circassian lands and the Crimean Khanate before being annexed by the Russian Empire in the late 18th century. Today, it is a major agricultural, tourist, and cultural hub, known for its Black Sea resorts like Sochi and its distinct Cossack heritage.

Kavkaz port

“Kavkaz port” refers to the Port of Kavkaz, a major Russian seaport located on the Kerch Strait, directly opposite the Port of Krym. It was originally developed in the mid-20th century, with its strategic importance growing significantly after the construction of the Kerch Strait Bridge (Crimean Bridge) in 2018, as it serves as a key cargo and ferry transportation hub connecting mainland Russia with Crimea. Historically, it has been a vital logistical node for trade and military transport in the Black Sea and Azov Sea region.
