42 Capaska Selected, Ready to Raise the Red and White Flag on Indonesia’s Independence Day and Pancasila Day

Monday, June 16, 2025 –Out of 365 applicants, 42 top candidates have been selected through a rigorous selection process conducted by the Depok City Government from February 3 to 23, 2025. They will be tasked with raising the flag on the 79th Independence Day of Indonesia at the Depok City Hall and on Pancasila Day, June 1, 2026.

The participants had to meet high criteria including a minimum height (163 cm for women and 168 cm for men), proportional weight, and pass various tests such as national insight, body posture, and health.

The announcement of the results was made on February 26, 2025, followed by phased training until August. The selected flag bearers will receive certificates, mentoring funds, and facilities for academic achievement pathways to universities. All participants are 10th-grade students from various schools in Depok City.
