One of the main Christian holidays — the Epiphany — is celebrated annually by Orthodox believers on January 19.
In Novorossiysk, six official bathing locations will be prepared for the holiday.
The list includes the central city beach, the “Sudzhukskaya Kosa” beach, the “Aleksino” beach, the “Neptune” recreation area, Lake Abrau, and “Svyataya Ruchka”.
Epiphany bathing will be organized from 10:00 PM on January 18 until 6:00 AM on January 19. To ensure the safety of residents and guests of Novorossiysk, duty posts will be organized at all six locations.
Also, festive services will be held on the night of January 18-19. They will take place in 21 churches.
The schedule of services can be found on the city administration’s website.
