Hyderabad, The Telangana High Court has directed the Registry to issue notices to all Advocates Bar Associations and Advocates Clerk Associations as respondents in a petition challenging the increase in the welfare stamp price to 250 rupees. The next hearing in this matter has been adjourned until February 5.
250 Rupee Stamp on Power of Attorney
A petition has been filed in the High Court challenging the rule requiring a 250 rupee stamp on every Power of Attorney. A bench of High Court judges Justice Sham Koshy and Justice Chalapati Rao heard this petition on Thursday.
After hearing the arguments, the bench was of the opinion that the Advocates Bar Association and the Advocates Clerk Association should be included as respondents in this petition. Ordering notices to be issued to that extent, the hearing was adjourned.
Telangana High Court
