The accident happened on National Route 333 in Nikoro Town, Kitami City.
Around 8:30 a.m., the truck skidded on the wet road, veered into the opposite lane, and collided head-on with the passenger car.
In the accident, the male driver of the passenger car died, while the woman in the passenger seat sustained minor injuries.
