New Delhi Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt has finally broken his silence on the alleged 30 crore rupee fraud case. This recent financial controversy has created quite a stir both inside and outside the film industry. After his name surfaced in the case, he remained silent for a long time, but has now clearly stated that his image has been wrongly portrayed in this entire episode.
A complaint of a 30 crore rupee fraud was filed on November 17 against popular filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, his wife Shwetambari, and 7 others. Dr. Ajay Murdia, owner of Indira IVF, has alleged that they all collectively cheated him under the pretext of making a biopic about his wife. In this case, Vikram Bhatt’s co-producer Mahboob Ansari and a vendor were arrested on Tuesday. However, the filmmaker has now stated that he has not received any notice in this case so far. He learned about this matter through the media.
In a conversation, Vikram Bhatt also said that he has been part of the film industry for the past 30 years and has never experienced anything like this. The filmmaker said that his film ‘Virat’ was halted midway, the reason for which was his company’s business decisions, especially the upcoming IPO.
Vikram Bhatt also stated that the delay in the film being produced by complainant Ajay Murdia occurred because he did not pay the technicians associated with the film.
Vikram Bhatt has also claimed that he has solid evidence, including emails and contracts, to prove his point.
What is the complete case?
Dr. Ajay Murdia, owner of the Indira Group of Companies, filed a complaint of 30 crore fraud on November 17 against eight people, including Vikram Bhatt. He alleges that he met Dinesh Kataria at an event. Dinesh Kataria proposed making a biopic about his wife and said that through the film, the entire country would learn about his wife’s contribution. In this connection, Dinesh Kataria had called him to the Vrindavan Studio in Mumbai on April 24, 2024.
Amid this controversy, Vikram Bhatt indicated that he continues to work on his upcoming projects and that his professional journey will not be affected by any rumors. He assured his fans and collaborators that he stands with the truth and has full faith in the justice process.
