A measles outbreak has been detected in the main building of Moscow State University. The disease was diagnosed in a first-year student of the Chemistry Department, according to Moscow’s consumer protection agency.
Specialists have determined that more than 1,800 people came into contact with the infected person. Immunization against measles is currently being conducted at MSU.
The university has received instructions to implement anti-epidemic measures in the main building. In-person attendance of classes is suspended for students and teachers who have not been vaccinated against the virus and have no records of previously having the disease.
